tiqline is a process SLA monitoring tool: it turns events from Shopify and your own systems into one case per piece of work, gives every step a time limit and alerts you in Slack or by email when a step runs over.
tiqline compared: tools for order and process deadlines
These pages compare tiqline with tools teams already use when orders, refunds or other cases take too long. Each page explains what the other tool does well, where tiqline fits, and how to use both together. Competitor facts come from official pages and are dated; examples use made-up numbers.

What tiqline does
tiqline is SLA monitoring for processes. Events arrive as Shopify webhooks or through the track API and are joined into a case by an ID such as the order number. You describe the steps and give each step after the first a time limit. When a deadline passes, the case is marked stuck, stuck cases at the same step share one incident, and one alert goes to Slack, by email to up to 20 addresses, or both. The dashboard shows how many finished cases met each time limit and how many are stuck right now.
tiqline watches and alerts. It does not run actions in other apps, track parcels across carriers, notify your customers or explain why a case is stuck. Those jobs belong to the tools compared here, which is why most pages end with a section on running both.
How to pick the right comparison
Start from the question you need answered. If it is "do something when an event happens", read the pages on Zapier and n8n. If it is "where is the parcel", read the AfterShip page and the guide on shipping apps. If it is "which steps were slow last quarter", read process mining. If it is "is the service healthy", read observability. If it is "how many users converted", read product analytics. If it is "which open case is late right now, and who needs to know", that is the question tiqline answers.
- Workflow tools: Zapier and n8n run actions; tiqline checks deadlines on the cases those actions move.
- Shipping tools: AfterShip follows the parcel; tiqline follows every step of the order, including the ones before a tracking number exists.
- Spreadsheets and homemade checks: quick to start; the guides show where state, grouping and audit start to cost time.
- Analysis tools: process mining, observability and product analytics look at history, services or users; tiqline looks at each open case.
How these pages are written
Every competitor fact links to the vendor's own website, with the date we checked it. Prices come only from official pricing pages. Where a vendor publishes no price, we leave the price out. Each page also has a section on tiqline's limits, so you can see what you would still need another tool for.

By category
SLA tool vs spreadsheet
A spreadsheet shows what someone typed in. An SLA tool watches every open case and alerts when a step runs past its time limit.
Build vs buy
A homemade check is quick to start and slow to maintain. A tool covers state, deadlines, grouping and audit from day one.
Shipping app vs process monitoring
A shipping app follows the parcel once it has a tracking number. Process monitoring follows the order through every step, including the ones before the carrier.
Process mining vs monitoring
Process mining analyses event logs of past runs to find bottlenecks. Process monitoring watches open cases and alerts when a step runs late.
Observability vs process monitoring
Observability tells you a service is unhealthy. Process SLA monitoring tells you an order is stuck, even when every service is green.
Product analytics vs monitoring
A funnel shows how many users reached each step. Process monitoring tells you which single case is late at which step, right now.
Questions
Is tiqline a workflow automation tool?
No. tiqline watches each case against a time limit and alerts by Slack or email. Workflow tools such as Zapier or n8n run the actions, and they can send events to the track API.
Does tiqline replace a shipment tracking app?
No. A tracking app follows the parcel and notifies customers. tiqline alerts your team when any order step, before or after shipping, runs over its time limit.
What counts as a case?
Anything with an ID that moves through steps: an order, a refund, a ticket. Events with the same ID value are joined into one case.
Where does tiqline store data?
In the EU, in Frankfurt. From Shopify, tiqline stores no customer names, addresses, phone numbers or email addresses.
How are these comparisons kept up to date?
Every competitor fact links to an official page with the date it was checked. If a vendor changes a plan, the page is updated against the new source.
What does the Free plan include?
5,000 events a month, with alerts by Slack or email. When the quota is used up, alerts pause and events are still stored.
